In Korea, Giving Takes Wing
18 March 2008
Kudos to KONICOF — the Korean Nuclear International Cooperation Foundation — for its enthusiastic and innovative support of PACT!
Its most recent initiative is in the form of attractive transparent collection boxes which have been placed in the public areas of various nuclear related organizations and institutions around the country. Distributed on World Cancer Day in February, the boxes are designed to symbolize the warmth and joy of giving. According to KONICOF, Korea has reaped the benefits of nuclear energy for the past half century and now wishes to give back to the community, particularly in developing countries.
An eye-catching set of wings attached to the back of the boxes are guaranteed to give donors' spirits a lift because all proceeds go to a very good cause: PACT's efforts to help low-income countries fight the growing cancer crisis.
