Follow-up mission to Vietnam

20 August 2007 | Following the interagency imPACT mission to Vietnam of 29 October - 2 November 2006, a draft report containing recommendations for strengthening the different areas of cancer control within the country was presented to the national authorities. In order to propose specific actions, there is a need for a prolonged presence in the field to:

1. gather complementary information
2. advise the National Steering Committee on its mode of operations and
3. set in motion the process agreed upon by the Vietnamese authorities and PACT.

Dr. Elio Omobono, PACT consultant, will undertake a mission to Vietnam on 20 August to 10 September to address these issues.
